Golf Course Road Improvements

Civil Design, Consulting, & Inspections

Roberts Civil Engineering provided turnkey project delivery services for the Golf Course Road Improvements Project on behalf of the Pierce County Board of Commissioners. The $3.5 million transportation improvement project involved the redesign and reconstruction of a rural two-lane corridor that did not meet current GDOT and AASHTO roadway design standards. The existing roadway featured narrow travel lanes, limited shoulders, sharp horizontal curves, and drainage deficiencies that impacted both safety and long-term
performance.

Our team managed every phase of project development and implementation, including
planning, surveying, environmental coordination, engineering design, right-of-way acquisition and negotiation, utility coordination, bidding assistance, construction administration, and construction oversight. Working closely with County leadership, property owners, utility providers, contractors, and regulatory agencies, we successfully guided the project from concept through completion while minimizing risks and maintaining project momentum.

The completed improvements enhanced roadway safety, improved drainage infrastructure, widened travel lanes and shoulders, and increased overall connectivity and reliability for residents, businesses, and emergency responders throughout the corridor.

This project demonstrates Roberts Civil Engineering’s ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects through a single-source, full-service approach that integrates engineering, right-of-way services, and project management.
