With their grand opening approaching, The Sea Island Company needed a partner to ensure the on-time and high-quality completion of the project.  Our team at Roberts Civil Engineering helped make sure the contractor was on track, and we relentlessly pursued construction approvals from the county inspectors.  As time for the grand opening drew near, we arranged the necessary meetings, inspections, and final activities to make sure that the project was approved on time so that the grand opening could successfully proceed.

MISSION:

  • Obtain approvals for site plan in a short window of time.

  • Obtain a special planning commission hearing to support the project schedule.

  • Ensure the ongoing functionality of resort amenities during construction

  • Coordinate the efficient approval for certificates of occupancy.

SUCCESS:

  • Successfully requested a special planning commission meeting to approve the project so construction could begin on time.

  • Designed an efficient infrastructure plan that minimized disturbance of surrounding in use facilities.

  • Did inspections on site daily to ensure critical infrastructure stayed operational during construction.

  • Coordinated on site daily for County and utility approvals so that certificates of occupancy were issued  on time.
